PrimeVigilance Limited announces further expansion of its workforce and the opening of its Cambridge office
Guildford, UK 25th October 2011 PrimeVigilance Limited today announced that it has established a Cambridge, UK office and has also recruited additional senior managers to its management team. The latest recruits include Natalie Smith (ex-Shire) as Director of Operations and Beverly Gow (ex-Novartis) as Pharmacovigilance Manager.
Both Natalie and Beverly have extensive experience of providing pharmacovgilance services and consultancy within large pharma companies as well as smaller consultancies and will work closely with the existing management team as Prime Vigilance continues to deliver on its strategy to build one of Europe’s leading pharmacovigilance service providers.
PrimeVigilance now has over thirty employees in its offices in Guildford and Cambridge in the UK, Zagreb, Croatia and Krakow in Poland. The company also has an extensive team of consultants supporting a wide range of international pharmacovigilance and clinical safety assignments. PrimeVigilance has clients from companies based in Europe, North America, and Asia / Pacific Rim and supports these clients by providing a global pharmacovigilance system that covers more than 80 countries.
One of the founding directors of PrimeVigilance, Dr Elliot Brown said:
"PrimeVigilance is very pleased with the continued expansion of our business and also the appointment of two experienced industry consultants to our team. The company is well established to provide cost-effective, full service pharmacovigilance solutions and welcomes inquiries from potential clients. We should be thought of as offering life insurance for pharma and biotech companies in these challenging times."
There has been an increase in non-European companies seeking assistance when entering the European market, but many companies (especially those that are new and emerging and even some established organisations) only realise the complexity of the European pharmacovigilance regulations at a late stage in their strategy development. PrimeVigilance has a complete pharmacovigilance system which fulfils the expectations laid down by the European regulators, and includes a team of EU Qualified Persons for Pharmacovigilance, a suite of pharmacovigilance controlled documentation and safety data exchange agreements, an ARISg safety database with custom-built tracking system, experienced personnel and full disaster recovery. PrimeVigilance is therefore well positioned to offer compliant pharmacovigilance support to any pharmaceutical or biotech company.

Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies can now draw on the expertise and resources of PrimeVigilance, a service provider that is completely dedicated to compliant and cost-effective pharmacovigilance solutions, with a validated safety database, highly qualified and experienced operational staff, and leading expert consultants.
PrimeVigilance fills the gap between the large multinational CROs that do not provide a service specifically geared towards pharmacovigilance for small- and medium-sized companies, and the small service providers that do not have the critical mass, expertise or wide international presence needed to reassure that patients and products will be adequately protected.
